Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. But with smart action, cooperation, and innovative solutions, the energy transition can be achieved quickly and sustainably.
In this board game, you take responsibility for the energy transition: you develop strategies as a team and respond flexibly to unexpected events. The goal is to ensure security of supply, reduce emissions by cleverly combining technologies, and manage resources and money wisely—all before climate change becomes irreversible.
Show that it can be done. The future is possible—with you.
The Game

Game materials for download
You can easily download the game materials and print them out at home using the link in the download box at the bottom of the page.
You will also need the following materials to play:

4 game pieces

1 gray and 1 yellow game token (alternatively: 1 small stone and 1 small coin)

1 dice

1 bag clip (optional)
Printing instructions:

Thicker paper (150–200 g/m²) is best for greater stability.

The large “Energy System” game board must be printed in A3 format.

All other pages are printed in A4 format.

Cards: Print on both sides (turn over the short side) and then cut out. Please note: Cutting out is time-consuming.

Arrow and tiles: Cut out after printing. The arrow is attached to the speedometer on the small game board using the bag clip.
Professionally printed game
Schools, clubs, and other educational institutions also have the option of obtaining a professionally printed version of the game if it is to be used for teaching purposes. If you are interested, please contact: wattsnext∂enzo.kit.edu
